One can hold the CCNP Certification if you pass the Cisco Certification exams in different tracks as per your choice. The candidate needs to pass two different exams in each track such as core exam and one concentration exam as per your choice.
The validity of CCNP certification is 3 years. To renew the validity, the certification holder should register for and pass the same or the higher level Cisco recertification exam(s) for every 3 years
Currently, there are 5 tracks in professional level. They are CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Datacenter, CCNP Service Provider.
